Configuring the customer class

Updated on August 3, 2022

To successfully load customer data, a customer class must be configured.

Pega Customer Decision Hub Implementation Guide
The customer class represents the customer entity in Pega Customer Decision Hub. The base customer class is PegaMKT-Data-Customer, which is backed by the MKT_CUSTOMER table in the outbound marketing schema. Pega Customer Decision Hub utilizes the external mappings defined on the customer class to load up customer data.
What to do next: To configure the customer class, complete the following steps:
  1. Creating your customer class
  2. Mapping a customer class to a database table
  3. Optional: Creating a class key property for an extended customer class
  4. Adding associated customer entities
  5. Setting the context for your customer class
  6. Extending and updating the CustomerSearchResultGrid section
  7. Extending and updating the MKTProfileHeaderSearchOverlay section
  8. Optimizing properties to speed up segment creation
