Enabling elastic search for Paid Media Manager

Updated on August 3, 2022

To improve the performance of the paid media synchronization and audience count reporting, enable elastic search on the paid media master database table.

Pega Customer Decision Hub Implementation Guide

Elastic search for paid media is used for reporting purposes. The elastic search index contains data about the paid media synchronization and audience counts, excerpted from the master database table used by Paid Media Manager. In this way, reports can draw upon a smaller set of data, which increases their performance.

The PaidMediaESCheckAndReindex job scheduler periodically checks the elastic search index for any conflicts with the master database table and rebuilds the index if required, to ensure that reporting data remains up-to-date. By default, the job scheduler is disabled and set to run once a day once you enable it.

  1. Log in to Dev Studio.
  2. Click ConfigureSystemSettingsSearch.
  3. In the Security section select Customize full text search.
  4. Search for and open the PaidMediaESCheckAndReindex job scheduler.
  5. Review the schedule and adjust it as required.
  6. Click Enable Job Scheduler.
  7. Save your changes.
