Creating a service package to ingest customer data

This content applies only to Pega Cloud environments

Create a service package to group service rules that are designed to be developed, tested, and deployed together. The service package determines the security scheme and access for the services in the package.

The goal of this procedure is to create the following rule with sample parameter values:

Important: When you configure this rule in your system, use the values that are appropriate for your system.
  1. In the navigation pane of Dev Studio, click Records.
  2. Expand the Integration-Resources category, and then click Service Package.
  3. On the New tab, configure the following parameters:
    1. In the Short description field, enter UPlusIngestionFileProcessing.
    2. In the Service Package Name field, enter UPlusIngestionFileProcessing.
  4. Click Create and open.
  5. In the Service access group field, enter UPlusCDH:CDHAdmins.
  6. Clear the Requires authentication check box.
  7. Click Edit to edit the associated ruleset, and then change the ruleset to UPlusCDH-Rules.

    The CDH admins group is selected as the service access group.
  8. Click Save.
