Getting ready for enterprise changes

Updated on May 30, 2022

Support ongoing enhancement of your applications by creating Product rules for the Pega 1:1 Operations Manager extension application and the Pega Customer Decision Hub implementation application.

Customer Decision Hub implementation application

To support the ongoing enhancement of your Customer Decision Hub application, create a product file that only includes the rulesets for the Customer Decision Hub implementation application. You can then use the product file in the Enterprise pipeline of Deployment Manager, as in the following figure:

Enterprise pipelines for promoting regular application-level changes
A diagram that shows the enterprise pipelines for promoting regular application-level changes.

You must create a product rule file in the Development (SOR) environment which generates the artifacts to the repository, and is used to promote the changes to other environments. The product rule must include all relevant rulesets and data instances except the application itself.

1:1 Operations Manager extension application

To support the ongoing enhancement of 1:1 Operations Manager, create a product file that only includes the rulesets for the 1:1 Operations Manager extension application. You can then use the product file in the Enterprise pipeline of Deployment Manager.

Note: You do not need to migrate the 1:1 Operations Manager overlay application, because no development should ever be carried out in the overlay application.

You must create a product rule file in the Development (SOR) environment. The product rule file generates the artifacts to the repository, and is used to promote the changes to other environments. The product rule needs to include all relevant rulesets and data instances except the application itself.
