Exporting data from the production environment manually

Updated on August 4, 2022

In configurations without Deployment Manager, after collecting the sample data, trigger the simulation data export case type in the production environment.

Pega Customer Decision Hub
Before you begin: The file data sets that are included in data migration use a default custom stream processing algorithm. In configurations without Deployment Manager, either disable or update that algorithm to use your own custom implementation.
  1. In your production environment, in the navigation panel of Dev Studio, click Case typesSimulation data export.
  2. In the Edit case type work area, click Save and run.

A simulation data export case is initiated to export the sample customer data, ADM data, and interaction history data.

  3. Monitor the new case at regular intervals until all the data is exported, as in the following example:
    Simulation data export case resolved
  4. Optional: When the case is resolved, check what records were exported by clicking the Audit tab, and then analyzing the list of instances.
Result: You have exported your sample data to the migration data set. You can now import the data to the simulation environment for testing.
What to do next:

In your simulation environment, import the production data. For more information, see Importing sampled data into the simulation environment manually.
