Associating actions with customer journey stages

Updated on August 4, 2022

After you specify the structure of a customer journey, and identify the entry criteria for each stage, you can associate actions with each stage of your journey.

Note: To learn about specifying the entry criteria for each customer journey stage, see Specifying entry criteria for customer journey stages.
Pega Customer Decision Hub
  1. Log in as an operator with access to Pega Customer Decision Hub.
  2. Go to Next-Best-ActionDesignerEngagement policy.
  3. From the Business structure area, select one of your customer journeys.
  4. Associate actions with each stage of the journey:
    1. Click the More icon by a specific journey stage.
    2. Select Add/remove action.
Note: The actions displayed in the list are based on the level of the hierarchy that the journey is associated with. If the journey is defined at the top (All groups) level, you can select an action from any level of the hierarchy. If the journey is associated with a specific issue and group, for example Sales and Credit Cards, then you can only see Credit Card actions in the selector.
    3. Click the Add button next to the action that you want to add, and then click Apply.
After you add the action, you can click the arrow next to it to see the treatments associated with that action.
    4. To associate more journey stages to an action, click an action to open it. On the Engagement policy tab of the action ruleform you can see the journey stage that this action is associated with, as in the following figure:

If you want to associate the action with additional journey stages, click + Add customer journey stage

What to do next: Explore the journey that you created with the Journey Visualizer. For more information, see Visualizing your customer journeys.
