Uploading the required certificates for passbooks
The Passbook landing page allows you to upload the Apple and Organization certificates (required by the Passbook functionality) to the system. To access the page, in App Studio, click
.Uploading the Apple Certificate
Use the Upload Apple Certificate button to launch the dialog to upload the Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority (WWDRCA) certificate to the system. This certificate can be downloaded from http://www.apple.com/certificateauthority.
Use the Browse... button in the dialog to locate the certificate and the Upload button to upload the certificate to the system.
Once the Apple certificate is loaded, the table displays the following information about the certificate:
Column Heading | Description |
Certificate Name | Displays the certificate name. This will always be "Apple". |
Valid From | Displays the date from which the uploaded certificate is valid. |
Valid To | Displays the date to which the uploaded certificate is valid. |
Actions | Provides the Actions menu with the Open item, which can be used to open the Certificate rule. |
Uploading the Organization Certificate
Use the Upload Organization Certificate button to launch the dialog to upload the Apple .p12 certificate for your organization or group. This certificate is associated with a pass type id and can be generated from the iOS Provisioning Portal, which is accessed via the iOS Dev Center.
Use the Browse... button in the dialog to locate the certificate. Also, enter values for the following fields and use the Upload button to upload the certificate to the system.
Field | Description |
Certificate Password | Enter the password associated with the certificate. The system will validate this password and will not upload the certificate in case the password is invalid. |
Organization Name | Optional. Enter the organization name to display on delivered passes. If you do not provide this value, the organization name associated with the certificate will be used. |
Once the organization certificate is loaded, the table displays the following information about the certificate:
Column Heading | Description |
Certificate Name | Displays the certificate name. This will always be "Default". |
Valid From | Displays the date from which the uploaded certificate is valid. |
Valid To | Displays the date to which the uploaded certificate is valid. |
Pass Type ID | Pass type identifier associated with the uploaded certificate. |
Actions | Provides the Actions menu with the Open item, which can be used to open the Certificate rule. |
