Using campaigns to target potential customers

Updated on September 15, 2022

To target prospects with your marketing efforts, create a multi-channel campaign. Self-optimizing and outbound campaigns do not support targeting prospect audiences.

Pega Customer Decision Hub

Note: Starting in Pega Customer Decision Hub version 8.7, this functionality is considered deprecated and may be removed in future versions of the product. The new approach to manage prospects is to select an industry template when running the Customer Decision Hub setup wizard or adding a prospect property to the customer class for storing prospects in the system.
For general information about creating multi-channel campagins, see Multi-Channel Campaigns. The following special considerations apply when creating a campaign that targets prospects:

  • You must select Prospect as the campaign context.
  • When selecting the campaign audience, only prospect-based segments are available. However, the marketing strategy does not need to be specific to the Prospect class, so you can target prospects with strategies defined for your main Customer context.
  • If the campaign actions include email or SMS treatments, you must ensure that the required email or mobile phone contact information is available in your prospects' profiles.
