Defining web pages to push for chat

Updated on March 25, 2020

During a chat session, a customer service representative (CSR) can select a chat-enabled web page to share with a customer in order to guide them or point them to the information that they need. The customer receives a message asking for permission to redirect their web browser to the pushed page.

For more information on configuring page push, see Configuring Page push.
  1. Define categories of pages to push as will be seen by the CSR. During a chat session, each category is presented to the CSR as a submenu from which they can select a web page.
  2. Define a name that identifies each chat-enabled web page that a CSR can push during a chat session.
  3. Define the URL of each chat-enabled web page that a CSR can push during a chat session.
  4. To restrict the selection of this web page to customers with specific browser locales, identify the language of the web page. By default, a shared web page applies to all languages and locales.
