Creating a new application

Updated on January 29, 2021

Create your customer service application. You might want to use the name of the company with whom you will be interacting. For example, if a financial company is implementing a customer service for handling the credit card line of business, they might name the company FinancialCo and name the application Loans.

Pega Customer Service Implementation Guide Pega Customer Service Implementation Guide
  1. Create the application by following the steps in Creating your Pega Customer Service implementation application.
For additional information, see Creating applications.
  2. Click GotoApp to switch to the new application or log out and log in as the appropriate user.
The Loans application, for example, automatically opens in App Studio. New access groups are created for users to log in and access respective features. The portal is also created.

For information about out-of-the-box access groups, see Learning about access groups.

Viewing the data objects

To view the data objects in Pega Customer Service, in the navigation panel of App Studio, click DataData objects and integrations. Currently, these objects retrieve data from the Pega Customer Service application sample database file. You will want to connect to an external system to retrieve the specified data that you want.
