Pega Express rulesets for localization
Pega Express is available in multiple languages. The Pega Express display language is based on the browser locale settings or the locale value that you set in the operator record. If the locale is set in both the operator record and in the browser locale settings, the operator record takes precedence.
There are, however some localization considerations because of the configuration of Pega Express. Pega Express field values are not localized at design time. At design time, it is not know what language should be displayed, and therefore the value is not localized. At run time the localized field value is displayed in the application.
The following elements of Pega Express are also not currently localized:
- Status
- Stage names
- Online help
- PDN links
- Specification upload and download
- User Name badges
Rulesets for localization
To create a Pega Express language pack you must have the role of Pega Developer. Only a Pega Developer can import field values to Pega language rulesets. Other user roles can import only the localized field values to application rulesets.
Include the following rulesets in the language pack when localizing Pega Express. Pega Express contains some sections, error messages, and tab labels taken from these rulesets.

- Pega-EndUserUI
