Configuring Pega Field Service Admin portal settings
As a system administrator, you can review and configure the Pega Field Service Admin portal behavior to better meet your business needs.
In the Pega Field Service Admin portal, select Settings.
Click Edit settings to update the following configuration options:
Settings Description Reduced tracking on the work Select the check box to reduce the field worker's location tracking when the field worker is at the job location. Scheduling granularity Select the check box and then select a granularity from the list.
The default value for this setting is 15 minutes.
Google Maps API Enter the Google license key value that you receive. Enable tour capabilities Select the check box to enable tour capabilities. Enable location tracking for field worker Select the check box to enable location tracking for field workers, using the Pega Field Service mobile app. Enable mileage calculation Select the check box to enable mileage calculation for work orders. High accuracy location tracking Select the check box to allow the tracker to retrieve locations using the highest accuracy. Distance limit Enter the minimum device movement, in meters, that captures location. Tracking duration Enter the duration, in seconds, of the period in which location recording will be stopped. Time difference to trigger location track Enter the duration, in seconds, of the interval between subsequent location recordings. Allow shift extension Select the check box to allow a work order schedule to extend a shift. Image path Enter a folder location for storing the images that users use and create within the Pega Field Service application. Scheduling days limit Enter the maximum number of days that the application allows the schedule of a work order of a field worker. The default value is 30 days.
Mileage unit Select an option that represents the unit that you want to use to measure mileage. The default value is mi.
Allowed timeline zoom level Enter the maximum zoom-in allowed in the Dispatcher portal's timeline view. Default slot count Enter the number of slots to be displayed for a schedule. Image size limit Enter a file size limit on the images that a field worker can upload from the Pega Field Service mobile app. Default start timeline view Enter the default start hour of the day to be displayed in the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal's timeline view. Default end timeline view Enter the default end hour of the day to be displayed in the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal's timeline view. Use google APIs for travel calculation Select the check box to enable travel duration for google API. Delay limit Enter the allowed delay, in minutes, on the work order start and completion.
