Creating a service template in the Pega Field Service Admin portal

Updated on March 16, 2021

As a business administrator, add related work orders within a service template. A service is a specific piece of work that needs to be performed as part of a customer issue, such as the repair of a configured product.

  1. In the Pega Field Service Admin portal, click ServicesNew service.

  2. In the Create service window, on the Details tab, enter a name and a short description for the service.

  3. In the Status field, select from the following options:

    • If the service is active in the system, select Active.
    • If the service is not active currently but you might activate it later, select Inactive.
  4. Optional:

On the Work order tab, click Add work order to associate a work order to this service and complete the displayed fields.

A work order defines the work that a field worker must perform at a customer location. Associating services with multiple work orders promotes proper scheduling of work orders. For more information, see Creating a work order template in the Pega Field Service Admin portal.
