Creating a work order type in the Pega Field Service Admin portal

Updated on March 16, 2021

As a business administrator, set up work order types in the Pega Field Service Admin portal, to initiate any field service. A work order type is a classification that you use to group similar work orders. A work order defines the work that a field worker must perform at a customer location. For example, the Repair work order type can include various work orders, such as scheduled car checkup.

  1. In the Pega Field Service Admin portal, click Work ordersNewWork order type.

  2. In the Create work order type window, enter a name and a short description for the work order type.

  3. In the Status field, select one of the following options:

    • If the work order type is active in the system, select Active.
    • If the work order type needs to be deactivated, select Inactive.
  4. Click Submit.

Create work order templates. For more information, see Creating a work order template in the Pega Field Service Admin portal.
