Modifying a field worker's calendar in the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal

Updated on March 16, 2021

The field worker menu includes an option to access the field worker's calendar to manage their working time and non-working time. This makes it easier for you, as a dispatcher, to track and customize a field worker's availability.

  1. In the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal, from the menu options of a field worker whose calendar you want to view or update, click MenuCalendar.

  2. Optional:

On the Working time tab, in the Working time section, modify the working hours and days that define the working shifts.

Note: You can also define inter-day shifts that start on one day and end on the next day, for example, if a shift starts on Thursday at 10:00 PM and ends on Friday at 6:00 AM.
  3. Optional:

Click Add time to enter additional working hours and days.

For example: If the working duration for Tuesday is seven hours and the working duration for the remaining days is eight hours, use step 2 to define working time for the remaining days, and step 3 for Tuesday.
  4. Optional:

In the Additional dates section, click Add time to enter additional working hours and days for a specific date.

For example: If a field worker typically works from 9AM to 5PM on Tuesday and you, as a dispatcher, want the field worker to work an extra hour on Tuesday, June 11th. Then you must enter working time of 9-6 on that date.
  5. Click Submit.

  6. Optional:

On the Non-working time tab, enter the holidays and time off.

  7. Click Submit.
