Optimizing a route updates the sequence of the work order to minimize the field worker's driving time.

1. In the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal, on the trip view screen of a field worker, click Optimize route.

   Click Undo to undo the route optimization, if the resulting optimized route is not favorable. To optimize a favorable route, you can add or remove work orders to a trip.

   Note: If you configure the default travel time settings as described in the Configuring Pega Field Service Admin portal settings, then the Optimize route button is not displayed on the trip view screen of a field worker.
