Creating a calendar template

Updated on October 6, 2020

As a business administrator, you can use a calendar template to define the working and non-working hours, and assign it to one or more field workers. For example, you can assign one calendar template for a field worker in the US and a different calendar template for a field worker in Europe. You can customize a calendar template after it is assigned to a field worker. Within a calendar template, you can define shifts, including inter-day shifts.

  1. In the Pega Field Service Admin portal, click OrganizationCalendarsNew calendar.

  2. On the Details tab, complete the displayed fields.

  3. On the Working time tab, enter the working hours and days to define working shifts.

Note: You can also define inter-day shifts that start on one day and end on the next day, for example, if a shift starts on Thursday at 10:00 PM and ends on Friday at 6:00 AM.
  4. Click Add time to enter additional working hours and day.

For example: If the working duration for Tuesday is seven hours and for the remaining days it is eight hours, use step 3 to define working time for the remaining days, and step 4 for Tuesday.
  5. On the Non-working time tab, enter the holidays and time off.

  6. Click Save.
