Compatibility rules for product specifications

Updated on April 26, 2021

During the proposal and sales process, it is necessary that a sales user selects all required or dependent products in a quote and does not select any products that are not compatible with other products.

Pega Foundation for Communications Product Overview

This feature allows product managers to define compatibility rules among product specifications by using exclude and include rule types. You can directly set compatibility with another specification or with another product category. Once defined, these rules are used in consuming applications, such as Pega Configure Price Quote for Communications, to ensure that all required dependent products are selected in a quote and that duplicate or non-compatible products are not selected in quote.

This feature also validates conflicting compatibility rules among product specifications.
