The Pega Foundation for Communications (formerly Communications Industry Foundation) application layer provides a data model that is based on the TM Forum Information Framework (SID), a layered, high-level view of standard telecommunications properties and objects containing information that is categorized across different data entities. SID provides a common vocabulary for information that is required to implement Business Process Framework (eTOM) processes, resulting in a reference model that reduces complexity in service and system integration, development, and design.
