Creating a sample XML file

Updated on January 18, 2022

You can create a sample XML file in your Pega Fulfillment Control Center for Communications application by completing the following steps:

  1. Create a copy of AddEthernetAccess.xml (provided as a part of the application sample data).
  2. Modify the product case by updating the following fields:
    • EXOIName – Name of the product
    • ExOIDesc – Description of the product
    • ExOIType – The Product Type of the product
    • ExProductOptions – The Configuration of the product
      Note: The following code refers to an IPTV product with an INTERNET product type.

      <ExOOrderItems>

      <ExOIAction>ADD</ExOIAction>

      <ExOID>COI1</ExOID>

      <ExOfferID>PO-123</ExOfferID>

      <EXOIName>IPTV</EXOIName>

      <ExOIDesc>IPTV</ExOIDesc>

      <ExOIType>INTERNET</ExOIType>

What to do next: You can test fulfillment for this sample XML file by creating a new customer order for testing purposes and injecting the XML file into the case. Once the test order has completed both the Confirmation and Validation steps, the order is decomposed into product orders as defined in the fulfillment plan.
