Adding attributes to identifiers

Updated on January 18, 2021

Add properties to identifier sections to capture more information and store more detailed identifiers. For example, add an issue date for a passport identifier.

  1. In the Dev Studio Explorer panel, click App and search for one of the following classes:

    • To add an attribute that is available for all identifiers, in the search field, enter PegaPS-Data-Identifier.
    • To add an attribute that is available for a specific identifier, in the search field, enter the class of the identifier to which you want to add the attribute, for example, PegaPS-Data-Identifier-Passport.
  2. Right-click the class and create a property for the attribute that you want to add, for example, IssueDate.

For more information about creating properties, see Properties - Completing the Create, Save As, or Specialization form.

  3. Include the new property in the following sections:

    • For an attribute that is available for all identifiers: IDNumber section in the PegaPS-Data-Identifier class and all its subclasses (such as DriverLicense or SSN).
    • For an attribute that is available for a specific identifier: IDNumber section in the class of the identifier, for example, PegaPS-Data-Identifier-Passport.

For more information about adding elements to sections, see Harness and section forms - Adding a section.

  4. Include the new property in the IdentifiersList report definition in the PegaPS-Data-Identifier class.

For more information about editing report definitions, see Report Definition Query tab.
