Exporting due diligence data

Updated on June 30, 2021

The due diligence data collected through the KYC Types is a highly valuable set of information that can be used by financial institutions for data mining and analytics. For example, the answer to the question about the political exposure of a party can be used to analyze the demographics of the financial institution’s clients by determining the percentage of clients that are politically exposed. This information can be used by organizations to take business or operational decisions to support their needs.

Although Pega platform provides some reporting and analytical capabilities, this analysis is usually carried out in an external data mining system. These systems require data to be supplied to them in a predefined format that can interpreted and analyzed. To expose the KYC data to those systems, we recommend using Pega Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX).

The follow sections describe how the KYC data can be exported. You should consider two main options:

  • The first option is to take a full extract of the data in the Policy Profile.
  • The second option reduces the performance overhead of the extraction by targeting a reduced subset of the data .

Review the following sections to determine which option suits your needs best, and refer to the material available in Pega Community Page on Data Extraction for details about how to configure BIX.
