Configuring the boost search feature
As an administrator, you can boost or elevate search results by assigning a related boost score for the article title, article abstract, article body, and article tags. You can set the priority for search results of articles and community posts that are displayed on your self-service help sites and community sites. Similarly, you can elevate the priority community posts based on the post title, post body, and post tags. Boost search scores are available from 1 to 5 where 5 is the highest priority and 1 as a lowest boost priority.
- Log in to the Pega Knowledge portal.
- In the left navigation panel, expand .
- To enable the boost search capability for articles, in the
Article tab, select the Enable boost
search for articles check box.
- Select any one of the article attribute such as article title, article abstract, article body, and article tags from the Article attributes list.
- To apply the boost score for the selected article attribute, set the boost score from the Boost score list and click Add.
- To enable the boost search capability for community posts, click
Community posts tab, and then select the
Enable boost search for community posts check
box.
- Select any one of the community post attribute such as post title, post body, and post tags from the Post attributes list.
- To apply the boost score for the selected post attribute, set the boost score from the Boost score list and click Add.
