Pega Modernization Implementation Guide

This document should be used in conjunction with the Pega Modernization Tool, and an overall Modernization Assessment.
The Modernization Tool identifies areas in your Pega solution where there are gaps between the features and capabilities of your current system, and the features and capabilities of the latest version of the Pega Platform. The Modernization Tool then produces a report of its findings. The gaps in each of the areas identified in the report should be updated and modernized.
The latest version of the Pega Platform includes many standard, out-of-the-box (OOTB) components. Use these whenever possible to increase both the speed of delivery now and the ease of maintenance later, as well as improve performance and stability.
This Modernization Implementation Guide assists you in understanding each of the areas identified and provides a high-level approach to follow in order to correctly update and modernize your Pega solution to leverage the latest capabilities of the Pega platform.
In general, the gaps identified by the Modernization Tool are listed in the report by Area and Rule Type. However, in some cases this Guide also contains information about other gaps that are not listed in the report from the Modernization Tool.
