Data Synchronization APIs for Pega Process Fabric Hub

Updated on August 26, 2022

Pega Process Fabric Hub accepts data that a remote application publishes by invoking the Pega Process Fabric Hub Data Synchronization APIs. For example, a remote application can publish information about open assignments and operators.

An entire data publication process relies on the remote application. You perform this process by calling the relevant REST API endpoints.

Data Synchronization APIs are available for the following resources:

  • Assignments
  • Operator mappings to work queues
  • Work queues
  • Cases
  • Associations

Before you use REST APIs to publish data from your application to Pega Process Fabric Hub, you must obtain a corresponding data synchronization access token. You then can call API endpoints that trigger actions that help you complete your business goals.

To obtain the data synchronization access token and details about Data Synchronization API endpoints, see the following articles:

  • Accessing Pega Process Fabric Hub data synchronization endpoints

Obtain the corresponding access token to use data synchronization endpoints because, for greater safety, OAuth 2.0 authentication secures the Pega Process Fabric Hub REST APIs. You obtain data synchronization client credentials that you need in order to get the access token by invoking the Enable Synchronize Registration REST API.

  • Endpoint for batch publishing of tasks

The Publish Tasks in Batch endpoint helps you synchronize data between your application and Pega Process Fabric Hub in bulk. The data publication process relies on the remote application, and Pega Process Fabric Hub only accepts data. Consequently, use relevant REST APIs to synchronize data.

  • Endpoint for real-time publishing of tasks

After publishing existing assignments data, the remote application can immediately publish any changes to the assignments. When you invoke the appropriate REST APIs, you ensure that Pega Process Fabric Hub and your remote application are always in sync. As a result, Pega Process Fabric Hub reflects accurate data about assignments from your application.

  • Endpoint for batch publishing of work queues

The Publish Work Queues in Batch REST API ensures that users can process assignments from your remote application by interacting with a correlated work queue in Pega Process Fabric Hub. Publishing work queue data in a batch saves time, and users can process work faster.

  • Endpoint for batch publishing of operators

Publish Operators in Batch REST API helps you provide mappings of work queues and operators in Pega Process Fabric Hub. As a result, users can access appropriate work queues to process assignments and process cases faster in your organization.

  • Endpoint for batch publishing of cases

The Publish Cases in Batch endpoint helps you synchronize data between your remote application and Pega Process Fabric Hub in bulk. The cases data publication is done from remote application, and Pega Process Fabric Hub only accepts cases data.
