Managing applications in Pega Process Fabric Hub

Updated on February 25, 2022

Respond in a flexible way to dynamically changing business objectives by governing the life cycle of the applications that you connect to Pega Process Fabric Hub. As a result, you ensure that Pega Process Fabric Hub reflects the actual work in your organization. You also save time because you can manage the connections between all your applications and Pega Process Fabric Hub on one screen.

For example, you can stop synchronization with an application that currently is not in use in your organization, so that Pega Process Fabric Hub stops syncing data with the application. Later, you can start the synchronization again when the business circumstances change.
Manage your remote applications in Pega Process Fabric Hub by performing the following actions:

Updating work queue data

Resynchronize mapping between work queues and operators in Pega Process Fabric Hub to reflect latest changes in your organization, and to ensure that Pega Process Fabric Hub correctly routes work.

For example, you can update work queue data after you create new work queues in your remote application and associate them with users, or when associations between users and work queues change.
  1. In the navigation pane of Pega Process Fabric Hub, click Registered applications.
  2. In the Registered applications section, click the application for which you want to update mapping.

For example:

Disabling and enabling applications

Exclude assignments from an application from work queues, worklists, reports, and the Next Best Work algorithm without stopping the synchronization of data between the application and Pega Process Fabric Hub by disabling the application. After your scenario changes, you can enable the application.

For example, you can disable an application when you need to update the application security configuration and you do not want users to log in to the application. The data synchronization continues after you disable the application but users cannot access the assignments or assignments data from the application in Pega Process Fabric Hub.
  1. In the navigation pane of Pega Process Fabric Hub, click Registered applications.
  2. In the Registered applications section, click the application that you want to disable.
