Preparing for extending your data model with additional fields

Updated on August 26, 2022

Publish more information to Pega Process Fabric Hub than the default data model provides, so that you can more efficiently manage cases and assignments in your organization.

When you extend your data model with additional fields, ensure that you perform the following tasks:
  1. Add your existing ruleset or a newly created ruleset to the Pega Process Fabric Hub application definition. For more information, see Creating a ruleset and a ruleset version.
  2. Override all the rules that require configuration in Pega Process Fabric Hub to the same ruleset. For more information, see Creating a rule specialized by a class or ruleset and Changing the scope of rules.
  3. Create or use existing relevant properties in your remote application. For more information about creating properties in Pega Platform applications, see Properties and Adding fields.
  4. Create matching properties in the Pega Process Fabric Hub ruleset that you created in step 1. For more information, see Adding fields.
  5. Configure mappings between the applications. For more information, see Mapping additional assignment fields, Mapping additional operator fields, Mapping additional case fields, and Mapping additional association fields.
