Viewing error logs in Pega Process Fabric Hub
To ensure that users can process their work, fix any issues that might hinder Pega Process Fabric Hub from fetching assignments from your applications. You can quickly identify any issues by viewing and analyzing the log messages.
For example, you can learn that an assignment does not have correct routing settings and that you need to specify the worklist that receives the task.The Error logs page lists the errors that occur when an application publishes data to Pega Process Fabric Hub in an incorrect way. You can quickly determine in which assignment, case type, or application an error occurred. First, you can get a quick overview of the issue by analyzing a short description of the issue in the Error column, and you can then view the JSON of the error log to identify the request that Pega Process Fabric Hub received. When you know what causes the issue, you can log in to the relevant application to fix the problem by making the required changes, so that the users who process assignments in Pega Process Fabric Hub can bring their cases to a successful resolution. Assignments that include incorrect data are shown on the Error logs page only, because Pega Process Fabric Hub omits them from Interwoven Worklist.
- In the navigation pane of Pega Process Fabric Hub, click Logs.
- Manage the log messages to get a better understanding of the issues:
Choices Actions Analyze log errors - In the row that contains the log message that you want to analyze, in the Content column, click Showy payload.
- Inspect the JSON.
For example: When a worklist to receive an assignment is unspecified in your application, the JSON includes the generic "assignToType":"WL" value instead of the "assignToType:"WorklistName" value.
Filter log errors Note: Filtering option does not apply to Type and Content columns. - In the header of the column that you want to filter, click .
For example: Display error logs from a selected application only by clicking Click to filter in the Application column. - In the dialog box, select the filters that you want to
apply.
Tip: To save time, in the Search Text field, enter the filter, such as an application name. Entering text directly is useful when you have multiple filters, such as multiple application names. - Click Apply.
- Fix the issue directly in the relevant application.
