What's new in Pega Process Fabric Hub 2.1

Updated on August 26, 2022

Pega Process Fabric Hub helps you connect and manage work from distributed applications across your enterprise by providing efficient, intuitive, and time-saving solutions. Key enhancements in this release of Pega Process Fabric Hub focus on exposing the list of assignments as a mashup gadget, enabling additional fields for assignments and cases, and providing APIs to support the publication of cases and associations to your remote application.

Pega Process Fabric Hub Connector for Salesforce Platform

Pega Process Fabric Hub 2.1 comes with an out-of-the-box connector that you can conveniently implement to establish communication between your Pega Process Fabric Hub and Salesforce Platform instances. The connector enables you to manage work from multiple sources in the unified Pega Process Fabric Hub interface.

For more information, see Pega Process Fabric Hub Connector for Salesforce Platform.

Interwoven Worklist available as a mashup gadget

You can now use the Interwoven Worklist component, which consolidates assignments from your registered applications, as a mashup gadget in another Pega application, a non-Pega application, or on an external web page.

For more information, see Exposing Interwoven Worklist in other applications as a mashup gadget and Assignments management in Interwoven Worklist.

DX APIs for customizing and exposing Interwoven Worklist beyond Pega Process Fabric Hub

You can now use DX APIs to fetch data from your Interwoven Worklist and expose the data externally to Pega Process Fabric Hub. DX APIs give you more customization options for the Interwoven Worklist UI than mashups and can also be used in Cosmos React environments.

For more information, see Exposing Interwoven Worklist and My cases data in other applications through DX API.

Additional fields for extending your data model

To better manage your assignments, you can now publish more data to Pega Process Fabric Hub than the default data model provides, by adding custom fields for operators, assignments, associations, and cases.

For more information, see Extending Pega Process Fabric Hub data model with additional fields.

Data Synchronization APIs to support case and associations data publication

Pega Process Fabric Hub now provides APIs for publishing cases and associations. With the new APIs you can publish existing cases and associations in bulk, publish real-time cases, and provide URL information with each case entry.

For more information, see Endpoint for batch publishing of cases, Endpoint for real-time publishing of cases, Endpoint for batch publishing of associations, Endpoint for real-time publishing of associations, and Data Synchronization APIs for Pega Process Fabric Hub.

The My Cases landing page to enhance case management

The Pega Process Fabric Hub UI now contains the My Cases landing page, which displays all the cases that logged-in users follow. The landing page presents the most important information about the cases, such as case status, priority, and role, which reflects the current user's association with a given case. Users can choose to view cases with resolved or unresolved statuses. The Resolved cases view shows cases resolved in the last 30 days. The Name column includes links that open each case in a new window.

Find out more about the My Cases landing page in the following video:

For more information, see Exposing the My cases landing page in other applications as a mashup gadget.

Archiving assignments and cases to improve system performance

In Pega Process Fabric Hub version 2.1 you can adjust the default archiving policy for assignments and cases. By archiving data, you save more storage space and also improve the search and reporting mechanisms.

For more information, see and Archival policy for assignments and cases.
