Extracting Pega Product Composer for Healthcare data and generating reports
You can extract summary data for product templates, products, and plans and review and compare data without having to access each entity separately. In the Summary data report, you get the metadata or the details that you enter during the first step of entity creation and high-level entity cost shares information. You can also extract cost share data and its pattern for inheritance for products and plans and view this information in the Cost shares report.
Extracting summary data for product templates, products, and plans
You can extract summary data for product templates, products, and plans, and generate a report. Benefit testers can use this report during the quality control process for benefit configuration. They can compare the results of this report to the benefits that were defined by the benefit configuration team. The team can make corrections as needed.
- In the header of Dev Studio, click .
- In the left navigation panel of your workspace, click Data
Extract, and then based on your business need, click one of the
following:
- Product Template
- Product
- Plan
- If you selected Product Template or
Product in step 2, follow these steps:
- In the search field, enter a name or some identifying text and click
Search. To get all the items, enter an asterisk (*) in the search field. The information for all items is displayed in one report.
For example: To extract the data from a specified product template, you might enter U+HMO Gold product template. To extract data for all product templates that specify HMO as the insurance line, you enter HMO. - If you are extracting data from a product, in the Data extraction level field, ensure that Summary is selected.
- Select one or more check boxes next to the entity name for which you
are extracting data, and click Submit. An error message is displayed if you click Submit without selecting at least one product template, product, or plan.
- Click to view the Microsoft Excel file name in the Recent attachments section.
- Click the file name and open the file to review the results.
Result: The file displays summary information such as the ID, effective and end dates, and high-level cost share information. By using the filter options in Microsoft Excel, you can search for and display specified information. - In the search field, enter a name or some identifying text and click
Search.
- If you selected Plan in step 2, follow these
steps:
- In the Product list, select the product name from which plans were created.
- Enter text that identifies the plans whose data you want to extract in the Search text field and click Search.
- In the Data extraction level field, ensure that Summary is selected.
- Select one or more check boxes next to the plans for which you are extracting data, and click Submit.
- Click to view the Microsoft Excel file name in the Recent attachments section.
- Click the file name and open the file to review the results.
Result: The file displays summary information such as the ID, effective and end dates, and cost share information. By using the filter options in Microsoft Excel, you can search for and display specified information.
