Optional: Importing Pega Product Composer for Healthcare sample application and sample data

Updated on April 21, 2021

Pega Product Composer for Healthcare provides a sample application that you can use to demonstrate and understand the benefit configuration system.

Before you begin: If you are importing the sample application, ensure that you have already imported the Pega Foundation for Healthcare sample data. For more information, see the Pega Foundation for Healthcare Installation Guide on the Pega Foundation for Healthcare product page.
If you have already created an implementation layer, you can skip this task. If you have not previously created an implementation layer, follow the steps in this task.
  1. Click Dev StudioApplicationDistributionImport to install the SampleData\PCS_SampleData.jar file and follow the wizard instructions.

Do not select the Enable advanced mode to provide granular control over the import process check box to ensure that you import all components.

This task imports the HC_USA_Product_Composer_Sample 8 sample application.

  2. To access the sample application, create operators for these access groups. For additional information, see Creating an operator ID.
    • HC-USA-PCS-Sample:Administrators
    • HC-USA-PCS-Sample:ProductDevelopment
    • HC-USA-PCS-Sample:ProductManager
    • HC-USA-PCS-Sample:SuperUsers
    • HC-USA-PCS-Sample:DocTemplateManager
    • HC-USA-PCS-Sample:DocManager
    • HC-USA-PCS-Sample:DocTemplateUser
  3. To ensure that a new operator can check out the rules, in the operator record:
    1. Click the Security tab.
    2. Select the Allow rule check out check box.
    3. Save your changes.
What to do next: Create an open ruleset. For additional information, see Creating a ruleset for custom rules.
