Adding a relying party

Updated on December 20, 2022

Configure the Security Token Service as the entity that controls access to Pega Robot Manager.

The following steps demonstrate how to add a relying party by using the Pega Robotic Automation Security Token Service (STS). For other STS providers, consult the corresponding documentation.
  1. Start the Security Token Service Configuration Console.
  2. Expand the Service Configuration list and select Relying Party.
  3. Enter the URL of the relying party you want to add and click Add.
  4. Select the relying party you added and click Configure.
See the following figure for reference:
Configuring a relying party in Pega Robotic Automation STS
You must add a relying party in Pega STS and configure it with the Client Secret and Client ID attributes.
  5. In the Relying Party Attributes window, click Add to add new attributes.
  6. In the Add Attribute window, define the ClientID and ClientToken attributes and provide the attribute values.
Note: These attributes correspond to the Client ID and Client Secret attributes that you generated in the RoboticsClient_ClientCredentials.txt file when configuring client registration in Pega Platform. For more information, see Configuring Pega Robot Manager to support OAuth 2.0 with SAML bearer.
See the following figure for reference:

What to do next: Update the robotic automation configuration files to enable single sign-on authentication of Pega Robot Runtime and client requests from Pega Robot Studio in Robot Manager.
