Assigning configuration files

Updated on December 20, 2022

Assign Runtime configuration files to different departments, users, work groups, or robots, depending on the different types of tasks that your robotic workforce performs, or the various configuration standards across your organization.

For example, your organization might use different automation package servers to store packages based on geography or function, or the logging level might differ across robotic work groups.

  1. In the navigation pane of Pega Robot Manager, click SettingsRuntime configs.
  2. Click the Runtime configuration file that you want to assign.
  3. In the Assigned to section, click Assign new.
    For example:
Assigning a Runtime configuration file to an entity
When you finish configuring the file, you can directly assign it to an entity.
  4. In the Assign new modal dialog, select an entity to which to assign the Runtime configuration file, and then click Submit.
    For example:
Selecting an entity for Runtime configuration file assignment
You can directly assign a Runtime configuration file to a robot, user, department, or a work group.
Result: This robot configuration is modified. The appropriate changes will take effect the next time that the relevant robots register with Pega Robot Manager.
