Auto-archiving robot operational data
Keep the size of your main database at a healthy level, ensure efficient and consistently high performance, and remove the need to maintain your databases manually by automatically moving inactive or unused data to archive tables at specified intervals.
If required, you can also archive data manually.Enabling automatic archival of robot operational data
Keep your database healthy and maintain consistent system performance by periodically archiving unused or inactive robot operational data.
Enable auto-archiving when updating from Pega Robot Manager version 8.5.1 and earlier, or when you manually disabled auto-archiving of robot operational data when creating a new application.
- In the navigation pane of Pega Robot Manager, click .
- Expand the Auto-archiving of operational statistics data
section.See the following figure for reference:
- Turn on the Enable auto-archive switch.
- In Enable/Disable auto-archive dialog window, click Yes.
Adjusting the frequency of automatic archival of robot data
Customize the default settings for archiving robot operational data to meet your business goals or system performance requirements. By archiving data, you keep your database healthy and help to ensure consistently high system performance.
- In the navigation pane of Pega Robot Manager, click .
- Expand the Auto-archiving of operational statistics data section, as shown in the following figure:
- Optional: To manually archive robot operational data, perform the following
actions:
- Click the More icon and select Archive data.
- In the Archive data dialog box, select a data type that you want to archive, and then click Next.
- Specify the date range for data archival, and then click Next.
- Confirm your settings by clicking Submit.
- Optional: Repeat this step to manually archive more data types.
- Optional: To use a setting value from a built-on application, remove the corresponding
setting from the current application layer:
- Click the Remove from current application icon.
- In the confirmation modal dialog window, click Submit.
- Optional: To specialize a setting in the current application layer, copy the
corresponding setting from a built-on application:
- Click the Copy application setting(s) to current application icon.
- In the Copy settings for reporting window, select the application from which you want to copy the setting.
- Select the application from which to copy the settings.
- Click Submit.
- Optional: To view the most current version of the auto-archiving settings, click the
More icon and then select
Refresh settings.Perform this step when adjusting the settings for a prolonged period of time without saving, or when another user might have modified the settings in a concurrent session.
- Click the More icon and then select Edit settings.
- Adjust the archiving settings for various data types by modifying the corresponding Interval property, as shown in the following figure:
- Confirm your settings by clicking Save.
