Deleting an assignment type from the Work group details page

Updated on December 20, 2022

If an assignment type is no longer needed, delete the assignment type from the work group to ensure that robots do not pull work from the assignment type.

  1. In the navigation pane of Pega Robot Manager, click Unattended RPAWork groups.
  2. On the Work groups page, click the work group that includes the assignment type that you want to delete.
  3. In the Assignment types area, for the assignment type that you want to delete, verify that the assignment type is in Stopped state and has zero assignments in the queue, as shown in the following example:
Assignment type in Stopped status with no assignments in the queue
The assignment type shows zero assignments in the queue and a state of Stopped.
  4. For the assignment type that you want to delete, click the More icon, and then select Delete, as shown in the following image:
Delete option available from the More icon
The More option expanded for an assignment type and the Delete option selected in the pop-up menu.
  5. To delete the assignment type, click Yes in the confirmation message.
Result: One of the following results occurs:
    • If the deletion is allowed, then the system deletes the assignment type.
    • If a condition prevents this deletion, such as when robots have already pulled work from the assignment type, then a message explains why the system cannot delete the assignment type.
