Setting up the Security Token Service

After you have installed the Security Token Service and rebooted your system, the next step is to configure the Security Token Service for your location. To do this, use the Security Token Service Configuration Console.

To set up the Security Token Service, perform the following tasks:

  • Starting the Configuration Console

    The Security Token Service Configuration Console (OpenSpan.Server.Utilities.ConfigConsole.exe) is located in the bin folder in the installation directory, as shown in the following example:

  • Configuring the Security Token Service

    When using the Security Token Service for authentication with Robot Manager, you must share the token-signing certificate from the Security Token Service with the Pega Platform. Follow these steps to configure the Security Token Service:

  • Testing the service

    After you define the configuration, you are prompted to test the service to ensure that it is working correctly.
