Using the Actions menu in a paused recording

The Actions menu is available when you select Stop to pause recording. The Actions menu allows you to move recorded steps to a current or new automation, to delete a recorded section, or to restart included applications.

  1. In the Recording Assistant, select the Stop button to pause your recording.

  2. Click the Actions menu.
  3. In the Actions menu, you can move or delete highlighted steps, or restart application(s).

    Move to current automationMoves the highlighted steps to the current automation.
    Move to new automationMoves the highlighted steps to a new automation and associates that
    Delete selectedDeletes the highlighted steps in the automation.
    Restart applicationsRestart all applications that are associated with the current automation.
  4. To resume recording, click the Record button.
  5. When you're done, click the Finish Recording button.
