Installing the Pega virtual channel drivers

Updated on September 19, 2022

Use the PegaCitrixChannelDriverSetup.exe virtual channel setup program to add the Pega Robotic Automation drivers to the Citrix Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) virtual channel directory and set up the Citrix environment.

Before you begin: Locate the PegaCitrixChannelDriverSetup.exe program. The installation of Robot Runtime includes this program .
  1. Copy the PegaCitrixChannelDriverSetup.exe program on each Citrix client.
  2. Open a command window on each Citrix client.
  3. In the command window, run the PegaCitrixChannelDriverSetup.exe program, and then specify the path to the wfica32.exe program (the default path is C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client).
By installing these drivers, you add the functionality that is necessary to run Robot Studio projects between Citrix servers and clients (the name of the installed driver file is CTXOPSP.dll).
The setup program also installs an icon file.
What to do next: If you update the ICA client, reinstall the Virtual Channel Driver.
