Migrating your 19.1 solutions

Updated on October 19, 2022

Migrate your Pega Robotic Automation version 19.1 solutions to use the new features in Pega Robot Studio version 22.1 when working with existing automations.

The migration process applies the new file-naming conventions and folder structures for your automation files. Complete the following tasks to prepare your Pega Robotic Automation version 19.1 solutions before you start the migration:
  • Compile your 19.1 solution to make sure it compiles correctly.
  • Inspect your 19.1 solution and make any necessary changes.
  • Back up your 19.1 solutions.
After you complete the pre-migration tasks, use the Upgrade 19.1 project option to migrate Pega Robotic Automation version19.1 solutions to Pega Robotic Automation version 22.1. After you start the migration process, the system copies the solution files to the new folder structure and changes file extensions to match the file-naming conventions for Pega Robotic Automation version 22.1.
  1. Start Robot Studio.
  2. Click FileUpgrade 19.1 project.
    Upgrade 19.1 project
    The 19.1 project update control.
  3. In the Select 19.1 Solution dialog box, select the 19.1 solution that you want to migrate.
  4. In the Upgrade Robot Studio solution to Pega Project dialog box, modify the output folder if necessary, and then click Upgrade to start the migration process.
What to do next: As the system completes the conversion tasks, it displays log messages. The system stores these messages in the PegaUpgrade.log file. Use this log file as a guide to note any issues. For more information, see Reviewing the migration results.
