Setting up pass-through authentication on a Citrix server
To enable pass-through authentication so robotic automation users only have to log in a single time, first set up pass-through authentication on the Citrix server.
- Navigate to an environment that controls the domain.
- In the Windows taskbar, enter Run.
- In the Run dialog box, enter
gpmc.msc.

appropriate domain, right-click, and then select
Edit.
Note: If you do not have already have policy templates in the Citrix Components, import the policy template from Citrix before you continue. For more information, see Setting up policy templates. - In the Group Policy Management Editor, under Computer Configuration, expand Policies > Administrative Templates Policy definition > Citrix Components > Citrix Workspace.
- Select User Authentication.
- Highlight Local user name and password, right-click, and then select Edit.
- In the Local user name and password dialog box, click Enabled.
- Ensure that the Enable pass-through authentication
checkbox is selected, as shown in the following figure:

Note: Refer to the Help pane for more information. - Click Apply, and then click OK.
Setting up policy templates
If your organization uses policy templates, download those templates before you perform the following steps.
- In the Group Policy Management Editor, select Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates Policy definition, right-click, and select Add/Remove Templates.
- In the Add/Remove Templates dialog box, click Add.
- In the Policy Templates dialog box, browse to and select the policy templates that you want to add.
- After you finish, close the Group Policy Management Editor.
