Updating your system

To experience a trouble-free update process, follow these best practices when you update Robot Runtime or Robot Studio.

Review the build notes and installation instructions for additional information on the changes implemented in the build.

Back up all your solutions.
If you customized any of the configuration files, such as the CommonConfig.xml or PegaRuntimeConfig.xml files, make backup copies of these files before you uninstall the system.
Making a backup copy allows you to reapply your changes after you install the new version.

What to do next: Use Windows Control Panel to uninstall the earlier version of Robot Runtime or Robot Studio.
