Checking your certificate expiration date
Authorization certificates are an important part of system security. For example, a certificate is used to secure the communication between a Pega application running in a browser and Pega Robot Runtime. These certificates expire and you might need to check the expiration date of a certificate. Perform the following steps to check the expiration date of a certificate:
- To run the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in, click and then enter mmc.exe.
- Click .
- In the Add Standalone Snap-in dialog box, select Certificates.
- Click Add.
- In the Certificates snap-in dialog box, select Computer account and click Next.
- In the Select Computer dialog box, click Finish.
- In the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog box, click OK.
- To view the certificate stores for the computer, in the Console Root dialog box, expand Certificates (Local Computer).
- Expand Personal Folder.
- Select Certificate.
- In the middle pane, check the certificate expiration date that is issued to your certificate. For example, for a certificate that secures the communication between a Pega application running in a browser and Pega Robot Runtime, check the date for the localruntime.pega.com certificate.
