Authorization certificates are an important part of system security. For example, a certificate is used to secure the communication between a Pega application running in a browser and Pega Robot Runtime. These certificates expire and you might need to check the expiration date of a certificate. Perform the following steps to check the expiration date of a certificate:

1. To run the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in, click Start > Run and then enter mmc.exe.
2. Click File > Add/Remove Snap In.
3. In the Add Standalone Snap-in dialog box, select Certificates.
4. Click Add.
5. In the Certificates snap-in dialog box, select Computer account and click Next.
6. In the Select Computer dialog box, click Finish.
7. In the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog box, click OK.
8. To view the certificate stores for the computer, in the Console Root dialog box, expand Certificates (Local Computer).
9. Expand Personal Folder.
10. Select Certificate.
11. In the middle pane, check the certificate expiration date that is issued to your certificate. For example, for a certificate that secures the communication between a Pega application running in a browser and Pega Robot Runtime, check the date for the localruntime.pega.com certificate.
