Determining the Microsoft .NET version

Updated on June 10, 2022

To install Pega Robot Runtime, for use with Robot Studio or with Pega Workforce Intelligence, you must have the Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your computer. The version of .NET that you need can vary, so check the requirements outlined in the installation instructions for more information.

To determine which version you have installed, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Windows Registry Editor.
  2. Find the following text in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\

  1. Click Find Next.
  2. In left pane of the window, double-click the NET Framework Setup registry link.
  3. In the right pane, click the version line to determine the full version number of .NET Framework that you have on your computer.
