Introduction to translators

Updated on June 24, 2020

Pega Robotic Automation lets you integrate applications at the desktop through your user interfaces. To integrate with an application, Pega Robot Studio injects code within the target application that directly interacts with the application’s objects. Robot Studio does not require the target application to be recompiled or modified in any way.

Robot Studio supports a number of platforms and controls including Windows common controls, Internet Explorer HTML controls, Visual Basic, Java, and .NET. In some cases, however, you have to create a special object, known as a translator, to expose a user interface element to Robot Studio.

For more information, see Understanding translators.
