Additional sales ops functions

Updated on December 21, 2020

The Sales Operations persona is responsible for supporting the sales team by managing territories and users, as well as administrating data. The most common location for both Global and Local Sales Ops to perform their setup actions is the Tools menu. Sales Ops also have access to the entire application, so that they can ensure it is correctly set up for daily use.

In the Tools menu, Sales Ops can perform the following actions:

  • Manage data, for example by adding competitors, products, and relationship types.
  • Personalize dashboards by adding, removing, or reordering widgets.
  • Bulk upload data into the application by using the Data import wizard.
  • Reset sample data in the sample application.
Tip:

To access the Tools menu, in the header of App Studio, click Launch web interfaceUser portal, and then in the left navigation pane, click Tools.

To learn about the Global and Local Sales Ops personas, see Understand Pega Sales Automation personas and their actions.
