Set up your sales team structure

Updated on December 21, 2020

Setting up your sales team structure consists of defining the hierarchy of the sales team, the personas that each person in the hierarchy maps to, their territories, and operator access within the territories.

As a system architect, first define your sales team reporting hierarchy from the VP of sales to the field sales agents. Then, define the role that each person has by associating each operator with a persona. As part of the operator setup you can also define ales goals.

The next step is to define the corresponding territory hierarchy, to drive the access to data in the system. You define what access these personas have access to within those territories.

Note: You must first define the territories and operators before you can load your data into the application.

When you configure the sales team structure, you also configure your security authorization model because the model is based on the territory structure, operator IDs, and partners that you define for your sales team.
