Importing customer data
Pega Sales Automation for Financial Services is the system of record for prospects and
customer data that is used by the sales team, including the organization, accounts,
households, and contacts. After considering which data entities you want to import, import the data using one of
the methods described in Import your data. Pega Sales Automation stores customer data only in sales automation tables.
You can import the customer data directly by using the data import wizard. To import customer
data in Pega Sales Automation for Financial Services, you must import the data to both Pega Foundation for Financial Services and Pega Sales Automation for Financial Services tables, and then link the two tables. To import customer data, see "Mapping external customer and organization data". To synchronize data changes, see "Synchronizing customer and organization data". In Pega Sales Automation for Financial Services,you can import your data by using the Data import
wizard, but you can also connect to secondary customer data, such as financial account holdings,
by mapping the Pega Foundation for Financial Services tables with the Pega Sales Automation for Financial Services tables.
A cross reference table is required to match the keys of a contact or an organization entity
from multiple systems of record to a master contact or organization entity key. Pega Foundation for Financial Services serves as the template for the system of record of customer data,
and Pega Sales Automation for Financial Services is the system of record for prospect data. Use your database management software to populate cross-reference tables that match the
keys of contacts in Pega Sales Automation for Financial Services with the contact keys from Pega Foundation for Financial Services. The Contact relationship table has the
CRMEntityId column as the master record key, because Pega Sales Automation for Financial Services is the master system of record and the
ExternalSystem column. The following table explains the
