Agencies and brokers
With the Pega Sales Automation for Healthcare system release 8.7, there is a change in the following sales team units: agencies are now partners and brokers are partner sales representatives.
This change impacts the way you import brokers from system releases prior to 8.7. If you import brokers from a system prior to the 8.7 system release, you need to convert these brokers to partner sales representatives.
The change does not require you to make any updates to the agencies existing in system releases prior to 8.7.
Converting brokers to partner sales representatives
If you import brokers from a Pega Sales Automation for Healthcare system prior to the 8.7 release, you have to convert the brokers to partner sales representatives.
Use a broker utility to convert the existing brokers to partner sales representatives. The utility is a combination of the following rules:
- SpmBrokerUtility - an activity that fetches the existing brokers in the current environment and converts them into partner sales representatives
- D_ChangeBroker - a data page used to trigger the SpmBrokerUtility activity
- SpmFetchBroker - a report definition used to bring the broker results from the database based on dynamic system reference
- In Dev Studio, launch the application in which brokers exist.
- Run the D_ChangeBroker data page.
