Deactivating an event code

Updated on April 26, 2021

You can deactivate or end date active event codes so that the configured event codes are no longer raised on claims during claim processing. The Deactivate action is available in all environments for all currently active event codes. If the Deactivate action is not available, in the list or Action menu, an existing update for this event code is pending approval.

Deactivating an event code is accomplished by selecting the Deactivate action on the event code list or from the Actions menu on the event code information screen. The appropriate version end date is then entered in the popup window to deactivate the event code.

Valid dates for the version end date include the current day through to the existing version end date. Any other dates entered will provide appropriate warnings in the UX. Selecting the Deactivate button will then send the deactivation for approval.
