The Pega Smart Claims Engine for Healthcare data masking capabilities support the hiding of PII for unauthorized users. Members or Policies that are identified as VIP or Employee are by default masked, unless the user has the View VIP or View Employee roles. Masked fields are defined by asterisks (*) as seen in the screen shot below. All reports and UI’s are updated to mask these fields appropriately.
